“ You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”
Randy Newman
These two one minute videos are about a 1960s and 70s carpool that featured parents of a few fellow Saints: My dad, Art, Mike Altenbern’s mom, Roberta, Jim Capra’s dad, Len, and Jim Veraldi’s dad, Jim.
Their story is one that Sparks my imagination and encourages me to reflect on my enduring friendships with my great pals from fifty , even sixty years ago. Maybe it’ll do the same for you, and remind yourself how lucky we 74 Saints truly are.
Click on the image below, and relive the bold senior prank that unfolded when Jerry revved up the excitement at JHS by riding his dirt bike through the school’s hallways. This daring act, performed during a regular school day, etched itself into the school’s lore as one of the most audacious pranks in Saints history, showcasing the spirit and adventurous class of 74.
We loved attaching the perfect “Born to Be Wild” accompaniment to our video, unfortunately our good friends at YouTube did not agree.
