The Final Saintinel from the Class of ‘74

As we approach our big 50th anniversary event, we also have come to the end of the ‘74 Saintinels. This last May 3 paper continues to astonish with the consistency of voice, range, compassion, and wonderful contributions covering the gamut of Saint’s activities. I love these!

This final edition features Award Season for DECA and Key Club, Student Council outreach, baseball and track recap, the student play review , a great photoessay about ‘74 welders, and a really, funny and witty Kirk Sarell, Letter to the Editor, retort. But the heavy lifting for this issue fell to Dorinda to write the piece about our first lost Saint, Ronda Dunbar,” Why did God pick her?, and to speculate in her companion article, “385 to Graduate,” “Who will live a long life? Which way will students turn as they live on their own?”

Fifty years on we probably still have more questions than answers. But one thing we know for certain, we can be proud to have been part of The Great Jefferson Saints Class of ‘74!
