Who’s That Saint?

This Reeed Streeter was in Honor Society and Band and loved all things French, but not because of her Italian father.

All the way from the Lone Star State, comes the identification of this, our final Friday Foster Grant puzzle. Congratulations to Bonny McLoud for her recognition of this swan song Grantess, Janet Capra.

This K-12 Mountain Viewer spoke both Hungarian and English. These days, things are pretty Rosi because he spends most everyday in a chalet. It’d be poetic if he served souvlaki.

Despite the You say Pataki and I say Pataky spelling, This Foster Granter’s identity - John Pataky - was guessed by two Saints: Congratulations to Lucy Jojola and Tom Cone II.

This Martensenian was a multitasker before the phrase was invented. Band, Orchestra, French Club, Honor Society, Forensics - all accomplished with the same welcoming and nurturing spirit that she still employs today.

It seems a new precedent has been set by our class President. this week’s Foster Grantess, Shelly Duncan, was identified by one of our west coast Saints, Jan (do we need last names anymore?!) McKinley.

This high school sports scribe arrived at Jefferson in 10th grade, but got his kicks in 12th grade.

the hilarious #alwayshastoberight was employed and the Answer was deferred from Sue Goldie and Janie. The correct answer was submitted as BOB. in light of the many 74 Bobs this answer went to our tribunal of judges. After hearty discussions the verdict was granted in favor of the submission of this mononym. hearty congratulations extended to the ever-Reticent Ed Cronin on his BOB Mizke Foster Grantian recognition: who heretofore will be recognized simply as, well, you know…

This Lumberger always loved music, and The Beatles steered her towards guitar. From Orchestra pit at JHS to rockin’ her congregation today, music still inspires her.

A couple o Lumbergerians guessed our latest Foster Grantess. Congratulations to a former Foster Grantess herself, Sharon Shoemaker, and Sandra Swan Seiler for their quick recognition of their fellow Elementary pal, Louann Baldwin.

This thespian minstrel makes up one half of our longest wedded Saint pairings. His maiden may not be the current queen but the throne will always be a part of her story.

Janie VM - for the second straight week - picked the Foster Grantian: this Saintly dude is Vince - the handsome - Guerrie.

This friendly Lumberger was always smiling. Maybe it was the clip-clop sound of her surname. Maybe it was the victories of her racing namesake. Did her Dad know the butcher and the baker by chance?

Actually this Saint had two namesakes in racing -one rode ponies, the other drove Ferraris (although his name has the German spelling).

Willie the Shoe got nothin’ on this Shoemaker - Sharon. Hooray for Janie Vonderlage Magruder for cobbling together the answer.

This 74 Saint was an Honor Society member and called “Frank” for a few months.

Whose behind those Foster Grants?

This trumpeter was guessed by Debbie Mills (YAY!). Ken Dunsmore is our second Foster Grantian.

This 74 Saint was known in the council and court and also hosted a Homecoming float party.

Who guessed it?

Our First Foster Grantess is Kim Dopheide!

Foster Grant Fridays. Remember the great ad campaign for Foster Grants? “Who’s that behind those Foster Grants?” Well, we thought it might be fun to make our own Saintly version. Each Friday we’ll post a picture of a Saint behind their shades on FB and give one or two hints as to their identity. You’ll have the following week to guess who it is. Stay tuned to this site every Friday when we’ll reveal the Saint behind the Foster Grants from the previous week, and post a new one on FB for the upcoming week.
